Becca Piastrelli, founder of The Dabblist, had been toying with the idea of jumping the proverbial corporate ship for a while before actually taking the leap this past year. I’ve had the pleasure of knowing Becca and working closely with her for a few years now – she was originally recruited to launch our online community, Generation Demandforce. So during the day, Becca was our community management extraordinaire. At night and on the weekends however, she was in another world, connecting with thousands of her blog readers with every post about herbal remedies and other dabblings. Today, Becca has found a way to successfully intertwine personal passion and career, and I’m so glad to be sharing her story with you.
What do you love most about the entrepreneurial life?

Instinct is an interesting phenomenon. Something deep down inside of you is privy to information that your conscious mind is not aware of. How this is possible is of course a mystery. But, in the end, you know that your gut, your instinct, is the thing that will keep you afloat in a time of uncertainty.
Sometimes you need to take a leap of faith and trust yourself.
It’s learned through experience, whether it’s yours or somebody else’s.
Through your life, you’ve had thousands of experiences. Hundreds of thousands of conversations. Perhaps a million or more people you’ve passed on the street, waited for the bus with, shared a farmer’s market day with listening to a bluegrass band.
Ever get that feeling of buyer’s remorse? You know it – you’ve walked out of the store with this killer new gadget from one of those Sharper Image knockoff stores that does 12 different things, you go home feeling great, and then immediately come to realize that you don’t need to do any of those 12 things with any semblance of regularity?
